Ten years ago, the Houston Chapter was struggling with how to manage our Chapter functions with a handful of Board members who were juggling many balls to keep the Chapter alive and vital. Funds were very limited; we really didn’t have the money to pay an administrative firm. When it came to growth, we were “treading water”. After great consiteration, we finally took the leap, and hired AMC to do limited tasks. We got immediate results and over time, we found that the return was ten times the initial investment. Little by little, we added responsibilities. Today, we are a well-oiled machine. We focus on strategy, programs and growing our Chapter. It has been worth every penny!

I have worked with and been an admirer of Lori Wilkins and AMC for over 25 years. As President of the Houston Chapter I was impressed with her professionalism in handling the executive duties of the Chapter to include administering the education offerings of the chapter, the planning of chapter events to include an annual golf tournament, silent auction, and installation dinner, and the day to day business of the chapter keeping the officers and committee chairs informed about national and local events. Lori was diligent in negotiating with hotels, event managers, and facility providers to get the best facilities at reasonable prices. This allowed the chapter to have more offerings of education and other chapter events without having to increase chapter dues. These are the reasons she was selected to manage the affairs of the chapter before I was president and the reason she is still managing the chapter’s affairs today.

I have had the pleasure of working with the AMC team since 2008. As a volunteer learning how to plan and produce a state-wide professional conference, the AMC group was a valuable resource.

We started the conference with a zero budget, so AMC’s suggestions of marketing ideas and communications, their expertise with venues that could meet our space, location and budget requirements and dollar-stretching food and beverage menus as well as their relationships and negotiation skills were heavily relied upon.

Pre-conference planning managed by AMC included website and registration module updates and maintenance, conference calls with volunteers across the state and financial reporting.

Our account manager’s ability to organize and manage execution of the actual conference and her ability to resolve many issues “on the spot” and keep speakers, sponsors and attendees happy during three days of whirlwind activity was remarkable.

I highly recommend AMC, they have helped us produce a quality, professional conference that has gotten better every year.
